{"id":183,"date":"2020-03-23T15:39:55","date_gmt":"2020-03-23T14:39:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.chalmovska.com\/?page_id=183"},"modified":"2020-03-23T20:23:38","modified_gmt":"2020-03-23T19:23:38","slug":"bio","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.chalmovska.com\/","title":{"rendered":"Bio"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Krist\u00edna was born in Bojnice, Slovakia and began studying cello at the \u017dilina Conservatoire, before continuing at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. In 2010 she started her bachelor studies at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London with Richard Markson and finished her studies with the First Class Honours Bachelors degree.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2014 she completed Master Konzert at the Z\u00fcrcher Hochschule der K\u00fcnste with Raphael Wallfisch and in 2018 Master P\u00e4dagogik with Roel Dieltiens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Krist\u00edna won several awards and competitions both in native Slovakia and around the world. That includes first place in the competition of the Slovak Conservatoires, the Slavic Music Festival in Moscow and winner of the Central European Foundation Programme Talents of the New Europe, she was the\u00a0winner of the Vivian Joseph Classical Concerto Competition held in London. Krist\u00edna was awarded a place at the London Symphony Orchestra string scheme. In 2016 Krist\u00edna won a two year loan of 2005 Seidl Cello from the Sinfonima Stifftung Mannheim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2016 till 2018 Krist\u00edna was an academist with the Balthasar Neumann Choir and Ensemble under the leadership of Thomas Hengelbrock. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Krist\u00ednas extensive concert experience has taken her\u00a0throughout Europe, Asia and Cuba. She has given concerts as soloist with the Slovak Philharmony, Archi di Slovakia, Tallinn State Philharomony, Slovak State Philharmony Ko\u0161ice, Trinity Laban Baroque Orchestra, Shounan Yuouth Orchestra Japan,\u00a0and Sinfonietta \u017dilina.\u00a0 Krist\u00edna participated at various masterclasses with teachers like Arvids Tareila, Dmitri Ferschtmann, \u013dudov\u00edt Kanta, Alexander Ivashkin, Reinhard Latzko, Boris Adrianov, Natalie Klein, masterclasses at the prestigious Kronberg Academy and Wiener Meisterkurse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently Kristina is playing a beautiful cello kindly given to her by Annie Singer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Baroque<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Krist\u00edna is very passionate about the historical informed performance practice. She works with baroque ensemles like Il Pomo d`Oro, Solamente Naturali baroque orchestra, Basel Kammerorchester, Z\u00fcrcher Barock Orchester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Krist\u00edna began to play the baroque cello during her studies at\nthe Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance under the tuition\nof Sue Sheppard, the principal cellist of Orchestra of the Age of\nEnlightenment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During this time she had the opportunity to work with musicians such as Walter Reiter, Stephen Devine, Dan Laurin, Becky Miles, James Johnstone, and as a continuo and soloist in the Handel s opera Rinaldo with Nicolas Kraemer. Her&nbsp;collaboration with Richard Tanner led to the performance in the St. Martin in the Fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She appeared as a soloist with the Trinity Laban Baroque orchestra performing Vivaldi cello RV 416 at the London Handel Festival and she won the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> prize at the Trinity Laban Early Music Competition what led her to the giving a recital at the Greenwich International Early Music Festival 2012.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Krist\u00edna as a member of the Amade\nPlayers orchestra in September 2014 Kristina recorded album Forgotten\nVienna in St. Johns Smith Square in London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the last years Krist\u00edna had the opportunity to learn from outstanding musicians like Jordi Savall ( masterclass at the Cello Bienale in Amsterdam), Roel Dieltiens, Thomas Hengelbrock, Martin Zeller, Christoph Dangel, Felix Knecht, Daniel Rowland, Leila Schayegh, Daniel Sepec and Davide Vittone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Krist\u00edna has proved herself as an outsanding contiuo player and is often invited by various ensebles like Solamente Naturali, Ensemble Ripieno, Musique de Lumieres, etc.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Krist\u00edna was born in Bojnice, Slovakia and began studying cello at the \u017dilina Conservatoire, before continuing at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava.
